Botox & Facial Rejuvenation Burwood
The field of dentistry has moved beyond general and surgical dentistry. Facial rejuvenation is a highly popular treatment under cosmetic dentistry, and it’s a specialised skill from our Gordon dentists at Beautiful Dental Care.
Many people turn to facial rejuvenation to seek treatment for facial conditions such as a downturned corner of the lips or a ‘gummy smile’ – a smile with an excess showing of the gums. We help our patients regain their perfect smile through various treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, and thread lifts.
Why should you have your facial injectables done by a dentist?
Dentists are one of the best people to deliver facial injectable treatments. Their training and experience provide them with extensive knowledge of the entire head and neck anatomy, and they understand the facial region better than most GPs and nurses.
Many dentists are experts in doing injections and fixing dedicated areas on human bodies, and they are also experienced in delivering anaesthesia in the facial area. This makes them the most suitable person to deliver a comfortable and painless experience for patients.
Why should you choose Dr Susie Sun?
Dr Susie Sun is a fully qualified dentist by the AHPRA and has undergone an AHPRA-accredited course in dento-facial aesthetics. Dr Susie Sun uses the latest technology and treats every patient with a personalised approach. She approaches patients’ dental cosmetic needs by ensuring it fits with their entire facial aesthetic – giving them the best possible outcome. Visit our Gordon clinic or Burwood clinic today!
What facial rejuvenation treatments do we offer?
- Muscle Relaxant (Botox)
Muscle relaxant injection is a common and effective method in facial rejuvenation treatment. Once injected into the face, this treatment helps block signals from the nerves to the muscle, preventing them from contracting and allowing wrinkles to relax and soften.
Botox is popularly used to cure facial conditions such as forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eyes), neck wrinkles, and frown lines. It is also used to reduce the size of the masseter muscle, which relieves the aches and jaw pains from teeth grinding.
- Fillers
Patients with dull and sunken skin often seek a dermal filler treatment. These fillers are hyaluronic acid-based fillers injected into the face to hydrate and restore volume back to the skin. Generally, fillers are commonly used in lip enhancements, cheek and the undereye region, temple, chin, and jawline.
- PDO thread lifts
A PDO thread lift is a procedure that uses a dissolvable, biodegradable polyester suture to lift and tighten your skin. PDO thread lifts are used as treatments such as:
- Rejuvenation and lifting of mid-facial area
- Eyebrow lift
- Nose enhancement
- Neck tightening
- Jowl tightening and lift
- Erasing smokers line
A PDO thread lift procedure is less invasive than a facelift surgery and takes around 45 minutes to complete.
The three categories of PDO thread lifts are:
- PDO mono threads
Smooth sutures help rejuvenate your skin by stimulating collagen production.
- PDO cog threads
These threads have barbs that latch into your skin like small fishhooks, to provide support and lift parts of your face
- PDO screw threads
Made up of one or two intertwined threads, these are used to help restore volume to sunken parts of your skin.
